Montana Muse offers accommodation where you can holiday in comfortable luxury. Be swept away by views of the bay below the magnificent mountains and the picturesque Hout Bay fishing harbour. While taking a steaming hot spa bath, look far out to sea to Kommetjie lighthouse. We are situated just a block and a half from the beach and within walking distance of every convenience: a supermarket stocked with a selection of freshly cooked food prepared daily, delicious breads, imported products at the delicatessen including an adjoining liquor store with a choice of the fairest wine of the Cape.
In the same area there is a laundry and drycleaner, a medical centre and pharmacy, a beauty salon, hairdresser, coffee shop and pick of restaurants specializing in seafood, steaks, Austrian cuisine and much more. The Valley of Hout Bay hosts an informative Library and Museum and boasts many spectacular mountain walks. The soft, white, sandy beach lies below a two-armed mountain range - on the east Chapman's Peak and on the west the ‘Karbonkelberg,’ which ends in a peak called Sentinel. Sentinel stands guard over the working fishing harbour and the yacht basin. These are both within a short distance from the accommodation.
	You decide what pleases you most as you stretch out in the extra-length king size bed or snuggle up reading a book in a comfortable chair in the study. Maybe you would prefer reclining on the couch to watch TV or be entertained by the fishing boats coming in or going out of the harbour. If you enjoy cooking, you will be thrilled by the kitchen equipped with an electric cooker, grill/oven and a two-plate gas hob. All necessary crockery, cutlery, glassware and utensils are provided. The fridge/freezer is always well-stocked with ice and a microwave oven is available for cooking or ‘heat and eat’ meals.
Although Hout Bay is 18km from Cape Town, it takes less than 30 minutes along a beautiful scenic route to the V&A Waterfront complex where you can take a boat trip to the historic Robben Island. Be sure to take a cable car ride up Table Mountain or visit the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens which host Sunday evening musical concerts. You can take a trip over Chapman's Peak Drive to Noordhoek, Kommetjie and Cape Point or enjoy a day trip to the winelands. William and Rose Thomas look forward to hosting you on your next holiday.
